PowerSeal Pipeline Products Corporation seeks a Vice President of Engineering. Oversee all activities performed by the employees of the Engineering department. Supervise the Research and Development Engineering Manager, the Plant Engineer, the Plant Technician, and the Production Engineering Manager. Direct the design of tools and machines of varying types for use in the manufacture of company products. Oversee the re-design repair or replacement of in process production program equipment production control hardware, and tooling. Develop processes, methods, tooling, and production controls for new programs; supervise their assembly and proofing. Direct the setting up of new equipment, ensure its satisfactory operation, and instruct others to use the equipment properly. Write procedures for the operation of new or existing equipment. Stay informed concerning new manufacturing technology and equipment, investigate their potential applications. Recommend incorporation of new technology for company applications where feasible and practical. Establish engineering practices and engineering procedures to be followed by buyers and other departmental personnel. Select vendors, assess vendor capabilities, develop alternate sources, evaluate vendor performance, and negotiate price and delivery, recommend major purchases of materials based on anticipated changes in prices or on unusual availability situations. Make certain that purchasing documents are properly completed and the terms and conditions of the purchases are appropriate. Assure that all department records are maintained and that purchases are followed up or expedited when required. Department records include price histories to provide information on price variances. Undertake specifically assigned projects and provide summaries, reports, and recommendations on these subjects and projects. Supervise the Research and Development Engineer, the Quality Control Engineer, the Maintenance Manager, and the Quality Control Assistant Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 2 years of related engineering experience. A full-time position with an annual salary of $125,694.
